I came into cinematography through dance, so I naturally pay a lot of attention to rhythm, timing, and how people move through space. That still affects the way I shoot now, whether it is a dance film, a commercial, or a performance-led piece.
Over time, that turned into something practical on set. I’m usually thinking about how to keep the camera expressive without making it showy, how to support performance, and how to make strong visual decisions without slowing the day down.
I work well under pressure and tend to think fast when something needs solving. Good communication, solid prep, and being able to adapt quickly matter just as much to me as the frame itself.
What that usually means: camera movement that feels motivated, not forced.
On performance-led work: a better instinct for choreography, blocking, and timing.
On commercial jobs: strong visuals, but with an eye on pace, clarity, and getting the work done properly.
